How our content is produced
This policy explains the standards used across Vancouver-BC.info. The site is designed for readers first. Search visibility is useful only when the page that ranks actually answers the visitor's question.
Source hierarchy
For facts that can change, we prefer primary sources: City of Vancouver, TransLink, YVR, provincial and federal agencies, official attractions, sports teams, venues and event organizers. Tourism organizations and established institutions are useful for broader visitor context.
Prices and schedules
We may include a current price, date or operating detail when it materially helps planning. It should be identified as current information rather than permanent fact. Readers are directed to verify the final amount or schedule before purchasing or travelling.
Recommendations
A recommendation should explain who the place or option suits and why. We avoid unsupported “best,” “cheapest” and “top-rated” claims. Different travellers have different budgets, mobility needs, interests and schedules.
Commercial links
Transportation and other commercial links are placed where they answer a real planning need. They should not be inserted simply to increase the number of backlinks. Anchor text is written for the surrounding sentence rather than repeated as a search phrase across the site.
Related city-guide links
Regional guides may be linked when the reader is genuinely leaving Vancouver for another municipality. Those pages are treated as additional planning resources, not as evidence that Vancouver attractions are located in those cities.
AI, search and answer engines
Pages use clear headings, direct answers, named places and structured explanations so both people and search or answer systems can understand the subject. We do not intentionally pad articles with repeated keywords or manufacture facts for snippets.
Corrections and updates
Material factual errors should be corrected when identified. High-change pages such as transportation, sports, events and seasonal guides deserve more frequent review than historical or geographic background pages.
